18 AMBASSADORS FROM MANITOBA CANADA CAME TO CHICAGO MID MAY TO SPEND A WEEK WITH US. MOST OF THEM SPENT THE PRIOR WEEK
IN THE DETROIT AREA WITH THE FF CLUB THERE.
Thanks to Bob Hernquist's organization skills, the hospitality
of all the home hosts, the assistance of day hosts and party planners, our guests had an action packed week. Some went to
a Cubs game, all toured the LOOP and attended a performance of the Civic Orchestra in Orchestra Hall and a play at Victory
Gardens. The Welcome Party featured a Chicago staple--Pizza. The Farewell Dinner was a delicious spread of Japanese food.
Sunday night all ambassadors and home hosts were invited to one of three dinner parties. Museum Visits, boat rides, flea
markets, botanic gardens, Pilsen, Bronzeville bus tours were among the many activities enjoyed by our guests.

to Bob and Dorothy Hernquist who were both Exchange Directors and home hosts and provided transportation support throught
the exchange, to Olga Connor who helped with both the Welcome and Farewell events, to all the home hosts, the Hucks, the Coyners,
the Vigsneses, the Williams/Spigels, the Mellises, Gillian Devane, Evelyn Gass, Mary Finn, the Ericksons and all those who
helped with the parties and day hosting.
